What's up everyone, today I bring you a recipe that is delicious but still pretty healthy for those of you on your own fitness journey or just looking to try something new! Stuffed Spinach Cream-Cheese Chicken Breast What you need: 4-Boneless & Skinless - Chicken Breast 1-8 ounce package of Cream Cheese -softened (you can use low fat if you want too) 10-12 ounces of Baby Spinach 1-T of coconut oil (optional) To start you want to preheat your oven to 375 degrees. While that's heating up, you will need to make the filling for the Chicken Breast. Heat 1 Tablespoon of coconut oil on medium heat in a frying pan (canola or vegetable oil works too). Add in the entire 8 ounce package of cream cheese, it's best of the cream cheese is softened, if not you can soften it slowly in the microwave. Then add in the Baby Spinach, I've found that by adding 10-12 oz. it makes the perfect mixture to stuff the chicken with, but you can do this to your liking. After the spinach is wilted and the mixture becomes creamy take it off the heat to cool for about 10 minutes. What I like to do while the mixture cools a bit is prepare the chicken. What you want to do is take a small paring knife and cut about a half inch to an inch slit in the top-thickest part of the chicken. Once you do that, you kind of want to wiggle the knife around back and forth but be careful that you don't cut yourself or totally slice the chicken in half. After that's done your read to begin stuffing! Take the mixture and put that into a ziploc bag and cut the tip off. You want to be sure when cutting the tip-off that you take enough off to where the spinach can come out easily, otherwise it clogs up and you have to recut it. Be very careful as the mixture may still be hot! Now you're ready to begin stuffing! You want to insert the tip of the bag inside the chicken-then slowly squeeze the mixture into the chicken. It's okay if some comes out the top, you can push it back in once you get done. You will be able to see the Chicken Breast enlarge after the mixture is inside and you can put as much or as little as you'd like. I would say about 1/3 of a cup fit inside these I have here. TIP: If I had bought my chicken from Sam's Club or a bulk shopping store, I would say you could get away with 2 Chicken Breast and more filling in each if you were just cooking for yourself and wanted leftover, or you and your significant other. After each Chicken Breast has been stuffed you want to transfer the chicken to a baking sheet. You can customize the top to your liking, I mostly just add salt and pepper on top, I've put lemon pepper seasoning on top before and it was delicious too! To go with this meal I also made Butternut Squash-I just cubed it drizzled some coconut oil, tossed it around and then put salt and pepper on top and added both of these dishes in the oven at the same time. They both bake for about 30-45 minutes, this depends on the size of your Chicken and how well done you'd like your Butternut Squash. For my Chicken and Squash, 45 minutes was just enough time. The chicken was cooked all the way through and the squash was totally softened.
Other than the squash another side I had with my meal was corn. I love corn! I know it's not the healthiest but today, I just wanted some corn. This meal is about 654 calories! Which isn't bad considering it tastes great, and you can definitely cut even more calories by using fat-free cream cheese and/or having another healthier side, besides corn. I think you guys will love this! If you'd like to see a video on how I made this just leave a comment below and I'd be happy to do that for you guys! Thanks for stopping by! Meghan♥ (I added some shredded cheese on top of one of these for the photo =p)

I have an exciting product to talk to you all about today!
It's the Titan Fitness Multigrip Barbell! I ordered this about a month to a month and a half ago, because although I have quite a few olympic bars, I wanted something different for my workout. For the longest time, I would use a standard olympic bar to lift weights, that would include excercises such as, bench press, overhead press, and rows. I figured it's time to change things up and try something new and intriguing! I found the Titan Multigrip Barbell and the thoughts that went through my mind on how I could intensify my workouts was just, exciting to say the least. Here is what the bar looks like
The bar allows you to grip it three different ways as you can see in the image above. Instead of holding it the way the image shows, I like to flip it to where it's more of a V-shape when doing curls and skull crushers. The angle is 30 degrees not too much but not too little.
My wrists are weak and a couple years ago I had broken my arm pretty badly, and have hardware in it, threfore I don't really have a full range of motion in that one arm. This bar allows less strain on my arm all together and much more forgiving than a standard olympic bar. My favorite neutral grip is the middle one. It's perfect for my shoulder width, and since it is I can do an overhead press with ease without putting too much pressure on my shoulders and spine. I wasn't really able to do an overhead press with any other bars, I could with dumbbells of course, but no other bar compares to this one when it comes to that exercise in particular. This bar fits perfectly on my Power Rack, the wider grip allows me to do more of an extended bench press with ease. It's still challenging for a woman I feel like it's a little wide, but I still feel comfortable doing a bench press at the same time. The bar weights 43lbs. so it's not bad at all, it's pretty easy to lift for most exercises. The knurl on the hand grips are perfect it's not too much to where you rip your hands open but not too little to where you have no grip at all.
Overall, this bar is outstanding, I've noticed such a difference in my workouts and results since getting this bar.
Are you ready for the price? It's only $99! A great steal for a bar like this! You can find this bar at TitanFitness.com if your interested in getting one for yourself. If you do get one, leave a comment down below and let me know what you think of it! Click the link below and it will take you straight to their site! See you soon! Happy Hump Day Everyone, I wanted to share with you today one of my favorite snacks at the moment.
Snacking when trying to eat on the healthier side can be challenging, if your not careful. So I thought I'd share a snack with you that's pretty healthy, easy to grab on the go and just filling! It is my favorite time of the year!!! FALL! The pumpkin spice lattes(yes I love them), cool brisk air, leaves falling from the trees, to wearing cozy over-sized sweaters. October is the time of year everyone is preparing for Halloween, but to me, I'm thinking about the upcoming months. November is the month of Thanksgiving, so I'm thinking about pumpkin pie, pumpkin rolls, ham, turkey etc...I like to practice new recipes, and revisit old ones just so I know there are no mishaps on the day itself. Then, obviously December, its time for Christmas!!! Where I live, retailers were putting out Christmas stuff in the beginning of September to get everyone ready for the holiday season apparently. With Christmas were baking cookies, pies, desserts, Christmas shopping, and a bunch of other stuff. Soo, my question to you is, would YOU like to see more of here on my blog and YouTube? By the way-let me know if you would like me to do a VLOGMAS! (Christmas Vlog) Good Evening to you all :) Today's review is on a couple of Schiek products and hopefully this review will help you out when purchasing accessories now or in the future for your fitness goals. Here we go, so the products I'll be reviewing are the Schiek:
Now prior to trying these three products I had tried the the 1100-WS Wrist Straps from Schiek back about a year ago and that's when I fell in love with the brand. Alright, so let's get more into detail here. The lifting straps are padded so they do provide extra comfort for your wrists, without cutting into them like some wrist straps can do. You can use the lifting straps for a variety of movements or exercises. What I like to use them for most are dead-lifts. I do also use them for lat pull downs as well, if on that particular day my grip is feeling a little bit weak. I've been using these for a little over a month now and they have not began to fray out and they still look like I just took them out of the packaging. Overall, these work really well, they strap on your wrist like a wrist wrap, while still having the easy of use like a lifting strap. However, since it does strap down like a wrist wrap-it just gives you that extra durability and insurance that your not going to drop what heavy weight your lifting whether it be from a dead-lift or a lat pulldown. These retail for $24.95 on Bodybuilding.com which isn't a bad price at all considering as I mentioned earlier, it's kind of like a wrist support/strap, combined with a lifting strap as well. One size fit all, so you get two for the price of one really. This product is definitely a 9/10. Next up we have the lifting belt, which I think is my favorite product from Schiek so far. So let's start off with sizing. When you are purchasing a belt, you MUST measure yourself to ensure you are getting the right belt. If you don't and you guess what size you may be, sure there's a chance you could be right, but you also want to ensure yourself and be on the safe side. For example while squatting, dead-lifting, whatever movements you may be using this for it doesn't buckle or give out because you got it too small, or doesn't provide the support you need because its too big. That can be so dangerous and potentially harm you. So, for your safety, and others who may be working out around you, please fit yourself for your belt. Now that that's out of the way, I've had two lifting belts prior to getting this one and my fiance has had four. If you think about quality, and how long these should last, that's quite a bit of lifting belts. My first belt was a leather lifting belt, which occasionally I'll still use. My second, was a Iron Bull lifting belt I bought just a few months ago. It was supposed to be a lightweight, but heavy duty core support for women. Well, I thought it was going to do the job for me, I got the right size, and it fit well over my hips. I get down to do my dead-lifts, and every single time I did the belt would just ride up my hips. If it didn't ride up at the beginning, it would during my set, and that just put extra strain on my body when I was counting on that support from my belt, so I stopped using it. If your one of those people who like their belt, that's great, it just didn't work for me, at all. Now for the Schiek one, that was what I was worried about. I thought to myself, "Oh man, what if this one does what that one did?" Guess what... It didn't! The Schiek belt has double velcro, when putting this belt on you secure it by one layer of velcro then again, by a locking system which includes a second layer of velcro for added protection. *(Just an added note you can chose to use the locking system in the belt or not to both options work great, for your maxing days, those may be the days you want to use the locking system)* Just in case your were wondering, I wear a size Medium in this belt which in the waist the size ranges from 31"-36", and my Travis' is an XXL which waist size ranges from 44"-50". On Bodybuilding.com this belt retails for $49.95 mine is in Royal Blue and Trav's is in Black, there are more colors available in this belt-they even have one in camouflage too which I thought was pretty cool. As I mentioned earlier this is my favorite product I've used from Schiek and honestly is the best belt I've ever used. This product deserves a 10/10 without a doubt that just because it's great quality, durability and the price point is right as well for what your getting. Last but not least is the 1900 Ultimate Grip. I had never seen product like these prior to using the Ultimate Grips, when I got them out of the packaging I kinda looked around like, uhhhh, how do I use these?
I wasn't sure which exercises I would use them for other than deadlifts, but I have a weaker grip with my right hand so these are especially beneficial for me while doing pull-ups, lat pull downs, rows and many other pulling exercises. These are Schiek's 'un-glove' design which allows are wider range of motion. They protect your palms and hands from getting fatigued throughout your workout. Yet again, Schiek incorporates their wrist support in this product as well. They have consistency in their products by allowing them to be all-in-one products or multi-use without having to purchase each and every one separately. I will say the Ultimate Grips take some time to getting use to especially if your new to the product itself or anything like it. After using these a couple months they still look like new, and the leather hasn't cracked, or really 'molded' much to one shape. I personally think that's a good thing, some people may not like that it doesn't 'mold' to them. The reason I think it's a good thing is because it allows you to flip the product over or underhanded depending on what your needs are or the movements you're doing that day. The only negative thing I would say about the product is when your doing deadlifts, and doing pretty heavy lifting, the wrist support at times will slide down to your thumb a bit. This may make the grip a little more difficult just simply by sliding down a couple centimeters. The Ultimate Grips retail on Bodybuilding.com for $39.95, again, not a bad price point since it includes so many benefits in one product. If you've tried lifting straps and their not your thing or you just may not like them, the Ultimate Grips may be something you're interested in trying. Overall, the Ultimate Grips would get a 9/10. Schiek makes great products and most of them are made in the USA. Their high quality, durable and definitely worth your money, if your looking for some new accessories or looking to improve your workouts Schiek is where it's at. Let me know if you've tried any of these products before, what do you think of them? Leave me a comment down below! ♥Meghan |
